The History Behind The BIG Search
Imagine someone you love disappearing without a trace. You search. You wait. You worry. One day goes by, then two days, then a year and still no word from them. This is the reality for families and friends of the children we search for during each BIG Search event.
The concept of the BIG Search was started in 2009 by Brad Dennis, formally of KlaasKIDS, and Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking in Tampa Bay, as a collaborative outreach during the Super Bowl.
Since then, FREE International, along with Brad Dennis, has expanded The BIG Search to a turn-key event that can be hosted in cities across the U.S. to coordinate that community in searching for local missing children.
